Stephen G. of Machesney Park, IL knew that he was in need of a roof replacement. His shingles were aged and he wanted to be proactive about the roof replacement. Stephen had called 3 or 4 different contractors to come out and give him a roof estimate. However, when those roofing contractors got to the property, they refused to even give him an estimate. The reason? Stephen had worked hard to help the planet by installing solar panels on his home. It wasn't until he called My-Pros that he found a roofing contractor that was able to hire a licensed solar panel technician to remove the panels before replacing the roof. Once he met with our Pro, Joe, he knew that My-Pros were the right local roofers for the job. Once the solar panels were removed, our crew got to work removing the existing roof shingles. With the roof torn down to the roof decking, they installed a synthetic underlayment as well as an ice/water shield along the eaves. They then installed new CertainTeed Landmark shingles in the color Hunter Green. Stephen now has a beautiful new roof that will protect his home for many years to come.
