When Jay D. of Loves Park, IL heard scratching and squeaking above his head, he know he was in serious trouble. Jay's home had been infiltrated with a family of racoons. They had torn a hole in his roof and a vent and were now living in his rafters. Jay gave My-Pros a call because he knew he was going to need his roof replaced due hail damage soon, and now was the opportune time to help save his home.
Once Jay took the appropriate measures to remove the family of raccoons from his home, My-Pros got to work repairing the damage they had caused and replacing the damaged roof. Our crew tore the roof down to the decking and installed a synthetic underlayment for additional protection before laying CertainTeed Landmark PRO shingles in the color Colonial Slate. Jay opted for the PRO shingles because he wanted a 35 year warranty to make sure his roof was protected and covered for many years to come. Additionally, we eliminated the original box vents and replaced them with a ridge cap to prevent raccoons from attempting to enter his home again.
