Roof Repair Photo Album: Roof Replacement in Roscoe, IL
Part of a five-year-old roof had blown off during a storm. When My-Pros arrived at the home, we were greeted with the homeowner's best friend, father-in-law, and father, who were there to help while the homeowner was out of town for work. Water was already coming in two bedrooms from the missing shingles. The following day, My-Pros met with the homeowner's insurance adjuster to give a helping hand, while receiving a full roof replacement. Right after the adjuster left, My-Pros installed a couple of tarps on the roof to prevent any further interior damage.
After the husband returned from his work trip, we sat down and explained the insurance claim process and how the new roof needs to be installed. The new roof that My-Pros installed comes with a 25-Year Craftsmanship Warranty on a Full (Non-Prorated) 50-Year Shingle. The couple looked over a couple of different shingle colors and decided to go with a Landmark Mission Brown, made by CertainTeed. The building material was delivered a few days later!
Our crew arrived shortly after 7:00 a.m. to start tearing off the old roof. Luckily for us, part of the old shingles were already removed from the wind storm. A next door neighbor jokingly brought that to our attention the day the building material was delivered. My-Pros completed the whole roof in one day and did a nice job cleaning up the mess. Before leaving the homeowner told Joe what Memorial Day meant to him. He served in a branch of military and lost a couple of friends/soldiers in the Middle East and Memorial Day is a hard day, thinking of those that sacrificied for our country. This was a surreal moment for Joe, who was extremely honored to work for a Veteran. While listening to the story, Joe remembered that CertainTeed gives a $250 gift card to those that serve Red, White & Blue. Granted the gift card will not replace a fellow soldier, but Joe was happy to be able to give back to a local Vet.
