Challenge
When these property owners called My-Pros, they let us know that they had a leak inside of their commercial gas station. We knew that this was an important problem to solve so that it did not interfere with their business. We scheduled a free estimate appointment to come and look at the roof and the leak, which was visible from inside of the property. Once our Pro got on the roof to take a look, he learned that the building has an old rubber roof with several patches. Upon further inspection, it was discovered that the leak is originating from these patches.
Solution
Our Pro determined that there were three solutions to the property owner's problem. First, our team could perform heavy patching to the roof, which would provide a short-term solution to the leaking, as it would only provide a couple years without a returning leak. Secondly, our team could replace the roof entirely. This option would be a high expense for the property owners and our Pro determined that a full replacement was not a necessary expense. The final solution will provide 10 to 15 years of safety on the roof and is the best value for the property owners. Our Pro recommended our team lay Elastomeric Roof Coating on the existing roof. Elastomeric Roof Coating is rubberized material that creates a heavily-protective barrier between the roof and the outdoor elements like the sun. This coating will help elongate the life of the roof.
